Harold is a cum laude graduate of Albany Law School, where he was the Comments Editor on the law review. After graduating from law school, he worked as an associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges in a major New York City law firm and then founded his own law firm, where he headed the firm’s litigation practice. As lead counsel in commercial and bankruptcy law trials throughout the United States, he managed teams of lawyers, paralegals, and expert witnesses in the deconstruction of complex financial transactions. He also was also responsible for workouts, secured transactions, contract negotiations, and business counselling. Beginning in 1999, he spent 14 years in foreign affairs, serving overseas first as a Rule of Law advisor for the American Bar Association and then as a U.S. State Department Foreign Service Officer, before returning to the practice of law. He is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
